Monks in Trouble

Our debut production is Monks in Trouble, a theological horror comedy by Marc Heiden, directed by Rory Leahy.

In a remote corner of the world, the brothers of a secluded monastary find their world is literally disappearing around them. Trapped in the path of an unholy, insatiable void, five very different men can only hope to survive by facing their darkest selves.

Also featuring two short plays, The First Song I Ever Learned and Celestial Liquor by Reina Hardy.

Opens February 12 and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm through March 20th at the Apollo Studio Theater, 2450 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago. Admission is $15.

the Creation Party

Come celebrate the birth of the American Demigods and support our mission by attending the Creation Party, a lovely, enchanting event of enchanting loveliness, where for a mere $30, you can consume all the draft beer, soda and well drinks you desire, plus see a sketch comedy performance by the American Demigods, followed by a rock cabaret from Mr. Gabriel Pastrana and also a silent auction, wherein you may purchase items from some of Chicago’s finest theatre companies and restaurants at heavily discounted prices.

All proceeds will go towards the operating budget for our debut production, Monks in Trouble!

The Creation Party goes from 7pm to 9pm (performance starts at 7:30) at Uptown’s finest eating and drinking establishment, The Spot, 4437 North Broadway. We look forward to seeing you there!
